Reputable Charities for Cyclone Nargis in Burma/Myanmar

Aid organizations were advising governments not make this an opportunity to condemn the junta. But that is near impossible when pro-regime thugs are hijacking supplies. Ships were suspended when the junta began to take food and supplies from the Word Food Program.

Here are a few good charities you can give to and be assured your money will go to the victims;

UNICEF - flying in emergency supplies to Myanmar

Mae Tao Clinic - together with the National Health and Education Committee, Burma Medical Association, and Back Pack Health Worker Team, are coordinating with a network of concerned Burmese individuals and local organizations to determine the needs of the disaster zones, and provide relief supplies

Doctors without Borders - first relief plane is due to land in Yangon
